Inspiration behind song
No Longer Slaves in its original format (Christian contemporary) has blessed me so profoundly that I just felt inspired to do a cover of it in reggae. The precious message of God’s love, acceptance, deliverance and salvation resonates so heavily throughout this song and my prayer is that those who would not normally listen to Christian contemporary will listen to this powerful song in this genre.
It is also my prayer that those who have been crippled by a spirit of fear will be loosed to become all who God has called them from their mother’s womb to become. As God told Jeremiah (see Jeremiah 1:5) ‘before I formed you in the womb I knew you’. Let’s declare together, Im no longer a slave to fear.
